Requirements

  • Requires a BA in Accounting, Business or non-Profit Management or Development; Grant development highly recommended with at least three years of experience. Other degrees with Strong accounting work experience may be considered.
  • Knowledge of non-profit fiscal responsibilities including grant management reporting, auditing and fiscal challenges and preparing reports for the Executive Director, Board of Directors and funders.
  • Human Resources Generalist skills in supporting staff and the agency.
  • Must possess or have access to a registered vehicle in operating condition as well as a valid CA driver’s license.
  • Must pass a DOJ Live Scan.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, MIP financial software (training available).

Job Duties

  • Assists in the fiscal policy needs and fiscal policy recommendation to the ED.
  • Serves as fiscal liaison with federal and state funding agencies for all grants and contracts. Completes accurate funding claims develops budgets and submits to appropriate agencies in a timely manner.
  • Oversees bank and investment accounts and prepares requests for transfers or line-of-credit advances as required for cash flow with Executive Directo
  • Manages payroll and timekeeping functions and maintains benefit accruals
  • Arranges for annual audit and supplies information, records, and assistance; Grant reports audits results and prepares response for the State, Funders, Executive Director and Board of Directors.
  • Prepares quarterly and annual tax, statistical, and fiscal reports to federal and state agencies as required.

Schedule

  • Monday through Friday 9:00AM to 5:00PM with some flexibility.

Rate of Pay

  • $18.16/hr during training and introductory 6 month period, plus an excellent benefits package including full paid medical, dental and vision insurance, PTO and more!
