Do you want a mix of outdoor and indoor work? This position supports landholders applying for permits in a mix of forestry and watershed work. The watershed/forestry technician will conduct road and watershed and hydrology assessments, and work with clients and other team members in planning water retention features to minimize environmental impact. A B.S. degree in hydrology, natural resource management, range management, forestry, environmental engineering or similar is required. A strong internship or some field experience including forestry and GIS is preferred. The principal is happy to train, but prefers not to micro-manage, so you also should be hard-working, self-starting and eager to learn. Starting pay is $18-22 an hour depending on experience.
